One of the Chicago Labor Day events that happens every year is the African Festival of the Arts. Watch as Washington Park transforms into a lively market filled with African specialties. This yearly festival begins on September 1st and goes until September 4th. Navy Pier Summer Fireworks

The Navy Pier has a schedule of fireworks that get set off throughout the summer and during the holidays. This Labor Day weekend, the summer fireworks will be hitting the skies on September 2nd.
